It’s time for me to pack up and head to a weekly site visit :)

This time I’m off to SPAIN!!! :D

I’m happy since I’ll meet my colleague who I didn’t see for almost a year and catch up with my weight gain program ;P (Don’t worry Kabsa I’ll be back on a diet on January)

My week in Spain draws to an end, I’m going back to France before my next trip.
This week was one of the most stressful I have ever lived through (and it’s not over yet).
I didn’t have time to catch the guys after work, I managed to free my self (well.. put aside my work to be more accurate) and offered them coffee, hopefully my next visit will be slightly more relaxed.

Positive notes:
+ I’ve seen my friends and colleagues.
+ I had fun talking and discussing work objectives and methodology.
+ I ate tapas till I dropped; the guy who served didn’t believe I could eat so much (it’s not my fault that I don’t like French cooking) ;)

+ I had very nice feedback from the guys on a personal/professional level; it really helped me forget most of the bad week (I really thank you for this) and I hope that this friendship/partnership never ends :)
+ I found 2 new PSP fanatics (yippee :D extra games and wireless games in the future :D)

Negative:
- Not enough time; 24h a day is not enough
- Didn’t have the time to meet the site manager (I hate myself for this)
- I had to be hard on some of my colleagues on a few issues (I felt bad putting my foot down; but some one had to do it)

Back to my trip; (Inshaa’ Allah) :)

12:00am Get the car (all depends on the luggage) 8-O

I’m sure that a lot of people out there were happy to get back home after the summer break, but they miss the last place they visited… Well it’s my case ;)

Well I reached La Coruna (or A Coruna how they call it) around 4-5 pm, all went fine, the trip was smooth and my bags reached in one piece :) , I have to admit that the new T4 terminal at Barajas Madrid is really impressive, it’s sort of a big loooong Strudel :mrgreen: (yes I’m hungry)

As I was saying, all went without a hitch, I even had the laugh of my life; I was in the taxi taking me downtown to A Coruna, and the driver started talking in the Gallego dialect (very close to Latin by the way) but I didn’t understand him since I was thinking in Spanish so I told him “Que?” (What in Spanish), so the guy started talking in a wierd Spanish accent, so I replied in Spanish “Pardona, es que yo no soy Espanol, se puedes hablar con dispacio porfavor?” (Sorry I’m not Spanish, can you talk a bit slower please?) the guy said sorry and asked from where I was from (hmm.. de ja vu) so I told him France, and he replied “Really? I thought you were Argentinian at most!” any way we started talking about the city, work, yada, yada, till he said “Don’t worry the city is very calm, no one will bother you, except for people asking for a cigarette” and he continued “Do you like women? I know some Brazilian women … very beautiful … blond … clean … cheap …”, I looked at him and started to laugh my face off :D of course the guy didn’t know why and he mearly continued talking about the city and the various spots to visit.

Reached the hotel checked in, visited the city (courniche side) walked a lot (around 12km I think). The city is very small, clean and the food is very cheap :mrgreen: (yes still hungry)

As you can see from the map, the city is a peninsula, on the top left (La Rotenda) there is an obelisque comomorating the millenium, and on the top right there is the “Torre di Ercoles” (that I didn’t manage to visit :( ); and on the south part of the peninsula the port (not accessible)

La Coruna is a mixture of old and new, small streets, a lot of shops, and even more people, being used to the French way of living (work ends at 6pm, the stores close at 7pm :( ) I get astonished when I see people and stores still open at 9-9:30pm :)

The very first impression (appart from what I wrote earlier) that I got was London, red busses; buildings very close together and it’s unique architecture, not mentioning the weather, it may rain in the morining, get sunny in the afternoon, and overcast in the evening, but over all it was very nice, people were still walking in short sleves and having fun till very late at night :)

I managed to find Mortadelo y Filemon (Spanish comic series) :P
