After these few weeks, I’m happy to announce that I’m officially on HOLIDAYS!!!! ~yay~
I’m leaving for Tunis on Monday (NOT work related) to meet my family at last
. My dad and camelette and her little cockroach are going there for a week, and seeing that it’s only an hour trip away I decided to meet them. (I haven’t seen them in 6 months
)

As you can see from the picture (sorry for the quality
) there’s papa camel, camelette and little cockroach. My mom couldn’t make it, I really hope to see her soon
The other good side (100% personal) is that 2 of my colleagues are going to be there too (They are going for work obviously
) and I have a whole week to pester them [Yes!! I'm a bastard inside
] - I’ll have to prepare a check list of the things I’m going to do to them ![]()

Well!!!
The company did a barbecue today for the CS department
The weather wasn’t good at all (cloudy, windy, rain coming any second look/feel) but non the less, our fun team did an excellent job in organizing it and the food was great (except for the part when they refused to give me a brochette
) but I managed to get 2 later
We all had fun and a change of scenery
Now with a full stomach I can concentrate in the plan I’m hatching ![]()
I’m tired
by jirukun on Jan.17, 2007, under 3arabi, Food, Friends, Office, Personal, Tourism, Tunis, Work
Really I am!
It’s been a week and a half in Tunis and I’m physically and mentally tired.
The office chair is killing my back, just look to how I’m reduced
and because the hotel has a heated swimming pool
Work is chaos but hopefully it will be fixed soon, I’ll give a complete update this coming Sunday (Inshaa’ Allah)
Just to let you know that I miss you all *hugs*

I’m becoming a pack rat, before every trip I try to put {shove} more and more stuff in my bags
My carry on bag is my laptop as well, and I’m trying to cram in more and more things to a point that the bag does not stay up, and it’s heavy as rock
I really need to limit the stuff I’m taking with me, so on this trip I’m not going to take 3-4 DVD’s with me less things (except)
- A mini-USB cable (for tranferring data between the PC-PSP-HDD)
- PSP’s power supply (to charge the PSP)
- Notebook’s power supply (to charge the notebook)
- IPOD + transfer and charger cable (music)
- Network cable (to connect to the network)
- Notebook (for work)
- PSP + a few UMD’s (for playing and watching videos during the trip)
- External HDD (extra storage is always usefull :))
:? Appart from the DVD’s that I replaced with the UMD’s I don’t see anything else I can limit.
I think I need to workout
Anyhow, tomorrow I’m travelling to Cagliari :D, I’ll leave around 9am and reach 5pm.

Catch you all there

Translates to Goodbye in Spanish (literally meaning to/till another place/time)
My week in Spain draws to an end, I’m going back to France before my next trip.
This week was one of the most stressful I have ever lived through (and it’s not over yet).
I didn’t have time to catch the guys after work, I managed to free my self (well.. put aside my work to be more accurate) and offered them coffee, hopefully my next visit will be slightly more relaxed.
Positive notes:
+ I’ve seen my friends and colleagues.
+ I had fun talking and discussing work objectives and methodology.
+ I ate tapas till I dropped; the guy who served didn’t believe I could eat so much (it’s not my fault that I don’t like French cooking)

+ I had very nice feedback from the guys on a personal/professional level; it really helped me forget most of the bad week (I really thank you for this) and I hope that this friendship/partnership never ends
+ I found 2 new PSP fanatics (yippee
extra games and wireless games in the future :D)
Negative:
- Not enough time; 24h a day is not enough
- Didn’t have the time to meet the site manager (I hate myself for this)
- I had to be hard on some of my colleagues on a few issues (I felt bad putting my foot down; but some one had to do it)
Back to my trip; (Inshaa’ Allah)
07:30am Wake up!
08:00am Check-out and leave for the airport
09:30am Boarding time
10:00am Lift-off
11:40am Arrival at Barcelona
12:00am Get the car (all depends on the luggage)
04:30pm Reach Montpellier - France
05:00pm Sleep
Catch you all later caballeros

I’m off
by jirukun on Nov.25, 2006, under Food, France, Italiano, Spain, Travel, Work

After a whole week staying at home, I’m off to the wild blue yonder.
Tomorrow morning I’m leaving for Barcelona then La Coruna, I’ll be back Saturday.
I got the car my company rented for me, I was shocked to know that I’ll have to keep the car at the airport (usually I drop it off and pick another one when I get back) but this way the company will save over €260 in rental, I have a 4h drive in front of me before reaching the airport, but at least I’ll save one flight and (the ugliest part of travelling) an airport, but on the other hand I’ll finally listen to good music and have a REAL lunch (french cuisine is overhyped beautiful to see, tastes good, but the portions are microscopic)
Look at this picture (nouvelle cuisine)

And this one (Real food) Paella ~yum~ ![]()

As the Italian saying goes “Pancia mia fatti capanna!” [roughly translates to : "Stomach of mine become a hut!"]
Buon Appetito err… I meant Hasta Lluego
